The University of Eldoret is located about nine (9) kilometers along the Eldoret-Ziwa road from Eldoret town, in Uasin Gishu County. Established in 1946 by white settlers as a Large Scale Farmers Training Centre, it was later transformed into a teachers’ training college in 1984 and renamed Moi Teachers’ Training College to offer Diploma programs.
