Responsibilities

  • Prepare travel quotes, book hotels, and design detailed itineraries for a variety of travel destinations.
  • Coordinate safari pickups and airport transfers, negotiating competitive rates with hotels.
  • Keep client records updated, manage invoicing, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Create and promote travel packages for both local and international trips.
  • Oversee the distribution of products, ensuring that tour packages align with seasonal events and product release timelines.
  • Regularly update the website and social media with the latest travel offerings.
  • Generate monthly performance reports to measure market impact.
  • Design customized itineraries, calculate costs, and offer competitive price quotes to clients.
  • Handle travel and accommodation bookings, confirmations, and reservations.
  • Conduct pre-tour briefings to inform clients about their bookings, travel tips, and requirements.
  • Follow up with clients post-tour to collect feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Promote additional services like travel insurance and airline tickets.
  • Assist clients in obtaining necessary travel documents, including guiding them through visa requirements and providing a checklist of required paperwork.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A relevant degree or diploma in a related field.
  • At least two years of practical experience as a Tour Consultant in a busy travel agency.
  • In-depth knowledge of both local and international travel destinations.
  • Experience with air ticketing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with various booking systems for tours and hotels.
  • Previous experience in online travel sales.
  • Understanding of B2B market segments.
  • Ability to create customized itineraries and tour packages.
  • Strong knowledge of the travel industry’s products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Established relationships with industry partners, including hotels, airlines, and ground handlers.
  • Passionate about the travel and tourism industry.

Monthly Salary: 180,000 KES (Salary is performance-based and may vary based on individual achievements. The stated figure is an estimate.)
