Key Account Sales Representative
Our client, a reputable company within the FMCG industry with an established presence in both local and international markets, is seeking to recruit a Key Account Sales Representative.
The role involves executing key account strategies aligned with trade and distribution goals, and driving sales, distribution, and trade marketing initiatives.

Reports to: Key Accounts & Institutions Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Roles:

  • Drive sales targets, ensure the right product mix, and maintain visibility, availability, quality, and correct pricing within assigned key accounts.
  • Execute key account plans as directed by the Key Accounts Manager.
  • Ensure targets for product visibility, availability, sales volume, and pricing are met.
  • Conduct regular visits to key accounts to negotiate, take orders, and ensure adherence to the trade coverage plan.
  • Collect and report competitor data to keep the Key Accounts Manager updated.
  • Meet distribution goals related to product availability, service quality, and inventory rotation to achieve optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Enhance brand visibility through appropriate merchandising and display in line with set guidelines.
  • Manage all assigned resources responsibly to optimize their use and ensure security.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks in the territory.
  • Comply with internal control processes for resolving cash or inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with credit terms in designated accounts.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of marketing campaigns and activations.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Key Accounts Manager.

Working Relationships
Internal:
Share territory-specific customer insights with the Key Accounts Manager and Head of Sales and Marketing.
External:
Foster strong relationships with customers by offering timely assistance and addressing their concerns effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sales
  • Strong computer skills
  • Basic understanding of brand management
  • Excellent sales and negotiation abilities
  • Good communication and reporting skills (written and oral)
  • Valid driver’s license with practical driving experience
