Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in policy analysis, technology issues, or policy-related work in various environments.
- Experience working on policy and public affairs matters in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in public affairs, strategic communications, or technology policy within governmental, non-governmental, or private sector organizations.
- Experience working with diverse, international teams and cross-functional groups to implement strategies that provide effective solutions.
- In-depth understanding of internet technologies and the associated policy landscapes, with experience advocating on key tech policy topics.
- Ability to recognize opportunities and areas of improvement while thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and assess public affairs strategies that align with Google’s objectives and goals.
- Engage effectively with policymakers and key stakeholders to communicate Google’s products, social contributions, and commitment to responsible practices.
- Collaborate with Government Affairs and Public Policy teams to craft and execute a global public affairs approach, focusing on areas like AI, cloud technology, and personalized services.
- Shape communication strategies and develop content for diverse audiences.
- Engage with policymakers, industry leaders, think tanks, and opinion leaders to drive meaningful policy discussions.

Salary Range: Ksh 80,000 – Ksh 100,000 per month
Language Requirement: English
